Little Smoke

Kab Driver (real name David Baxter) has been involved with Acroplane since its inception, but this is the first time we have put music out under this moniker. As Kab Driver he has previously released on Airflex Labs and Kinnego Records, and has worked on tracks with Boxcutter, Brian Greene and a myriad of other talented heads from the Belfast scene and beyond.

Little Smoke is a collection of tracks that manages to be both fresh and nostalgic simultaneously. The EP maintains a fast pace through the first three tracks, complemented by slick acid lines and frenetic, almost braindance-like melodies in healthy doses. "Wake Up Time to Die" , the fourth entry, occupies a calmer environment, slowing the breaks down and letting the fluttering synths take their time.

Another long-time Acroplane familiar, The Person (aka Primary Node) is in charge of remix duties here, delivering a caustic IDM/electro version of Little Smoke that brings some serious dancefloor heat, taking liberties with the tempo and surgically building layers around the original melody.
